Sigh...yes dear.
Although some times are riskier than others, you can get pregnant at any time during the month regardless of when your period is. Use protection and you won't have to worry!

Most likely not. However it's NEVER really impossible to get pregnant during any given women's cycle. The average ovulation " release of egg from ovaries for fertilization" takes place anywhere from 14 to 21 days After the First day of your last period. So yes you still can get pregnant one week before your period. I'd wait and take a test or go to the Dr if you do in fact miss your period. Not sure if your trying to conceive or trying to avoid it? If trying to conceive, best of wishes, and if you Not, please use birth control or some type of protection. No baby wants to be brought into the world unwanted. Hope this helps and Good Luck to you =)

No, unless you have a short luteal (post ovulation) phase, or you have irregular cycles.
Your body releases an egg about 14 days before your period comes, this is ovulation. If the egg is not fertilized within 12-24 hours, it dies and starts to break down. It then travels through the fallopian tube and the uterus, and is expelled with the uterine lining in the form of a period.
A week before your period the egg would already be dead and broken down. Unless your luteal phase is only 7 days (which is uncommon) or you ovulated later than usual.

yup. once your period starts, its the process of your body getting rid of the unfertalized egg so it can create a new one. until that process starts, that egg is still sitting there waiting for some sperm to come along and make a baby. even like, 2 or 3 days into your period you can still get pregnant. It's usually (but not always) when your period is its heaviest that the egg has dropped.

You can get pregnant at ANY time in your cycle. There are times when the risk is down to 2%, but why roll the dice on your future?
Use condoms, use spermicidal jelly and a diaphragm, use BOTH.
