My question is not unreasonable, in some questions of legality, states honor other state's laws.

The law for the state in which you are in applies. So yes you would be breaking the law. This is because the act is an on going and current one. For a legal degree or legal judgment the judgment is honored in all 50 states no matter what state it was executed. That's why for the short time that Massachusetts allowed civil unions those marriages were legal and are legal in all 50 states.
You have to honor the laws for the jurisdiction that you are in at the time. In Montana there is a stretch of road with an unlimited speed limit, but when that same stretch of road crosses into another state you have to honor the laws of that state and slow down to their posted speed limit.

Yes, you are breaking the law if you go to another state where the age of consent is 18. Texas laws do not "carry over" to other states (no state's laws do).
Other states RECOGNIZE certain things from other states (like marriages, gun licenses, things like that), but in another state you are subject to THEIR laws and not Texas' laws.

Yes, if that vacation state says it's illegal. Just because your a resident of Texas doesn't mean you can willfully break the laws of another State simply because Texas allows it.
