What were you good at when you were at school. Did you like art or photography or science?

How about painting, photographing and scrapbooking pictures of your lovely baby, or gardening.

Oragami is fun and great for the kids and it brings zen to ur home try gardening its funn too. Maybe cooking? Chef up and make wonderful creations that tickle the tounge and satisfy if not glorify the sences. Magic! may sound childish but if ur a stay at home mom hey y not? Itll keep the kid's attention and shock them.

Photography and art are defintaly something. Buy a nice camera and a book on camera angles and lights then set out to do it! Take professional home photos of your child(ren) with you new found knowledge and scrap book them!

Cosplay or costume design? Fun stuff!

Write a novel or play! Make a website? Play an insturment!

Set your mind to something and im sure you'll succeed! Have fun and make sure you are safe what ever you do!

Oh sewing and quilt making can be creative and fun too!

If I were you I would deginitely pick out crafts, like knitting and sewing. Fleece blankets and pillows are easy and fun. You may want to get some books on these subjects and start going to a class at a local craft store.

If you're not into that kind of thing, I would also advice scrap booking. Scrap booking is really fun! you can take pics with a digital camera and send them to walgreens (10 cents per pic)

When I get really bored I write letters. Yes, snail mail letters. They are a great way to keep in touch!

do you garden? That's another fun thing.

But most of all, love your kid, and really work on having a good relationship with her/him. that takes a lot of time and work, but it so satisfying!

Hope you get a great hobby!

Possibly you can consider an herb garden or veg garden. I know it sounds like Ozzie and Harriet but it is relaxing and productive at the same time.

Fresh basil, thyme, garlic, onion, oregano and any number of good veggies can be gone in a garden with a space of about 16x16. Just don't try to plant too much.

Canning at the season will also occupy and entertain. ( Now we are really going Ozzie and Harriet)

Just a thought, but if you are doing something to occupy time, might as well get something out of it.Think about being able to pass on to your kids homemade canned goods and their recipes.Plus self reliance.

You'll do well since you have already asked and it shows you are willing to learn.

God bless and good luck.

scrapbooks are good since you have a good model for your pages. That might lead you into photography, with digital cameras you can get into it with relatively little money.
I am a big fan of knitting, and crocheting, as they are portable. this means you can be creative, and carry your work to the park, the play ground, etc.
Reading is a great way to spend your time, you will get smarter, and again, portable.
You might be interested in home design, so think about cans of paint and your walls. there are lots of creative options there.

Scrapbooking is great when you have a little one. Go for walks/hikes. Join a toddler group.
Other hobbies really depends on what you like, so its hard to suggest something.

beading is a popular hobby. You can make beads for as little as $99 for a kit (glass beads) or you can make jewelry and sell it at craft shows and online. There are lots of bead groups on yahoo groups and lots of places you can buy your beads wholesale (through groups too)
