Dick Cheney has no choice but to leave office when George Bush's term is up, unless he plans on armed revolt against Congress.

He recent declaration that he is immune to rules that govern the President and that he is a member of the Legislative Branch is the height of arrogance. His position is mentioned in section 4 Article 2 which covers the powers of the President. But, Dick Cheney has long ago decided that the laws of our government, even the Constitution are all optional.

President Bush Jr. will go down in American history as one of the most powerful Presidents in history along with people like Nixon. I don’t think that Bush’s tendency to make his own laws and ignore others came from him I have always thought he was a puppet for Cheney. Cheney hides from the public and most of the government because he doesn’t want anyone to know what he is up to. George Bush Jr. is just his front man. This is why he doesn’t care about public opinion or the protestors, because Vice Presidents are rarely remembered. The position is supposed to be a near powerless position where the nation keeps a spare President stashed just in case he or she is needed. Dick Cheney is actually the President, Bush is just his puppet that dances to his tune, and stands out in front to take all the abuse. When history condemns President George W. Bush Cheney will be a mere footnote, which is ironic, since he is the one who has put Bush up to most of what things he has done.

A classic bit of proof on this is the immigration issue. George W. made some noises last year about a guest worker program for our Hispanic Immigrants. He was drowned out by Congress and the issue never arose again. This could have been a “throw away” issue to make people think he cared about the immigrant issue, but I actually think it was a feeble attempt for George to solve a real problem. Cheney forgot to tell his puppet to avoid the immigration issue so he ended up looking like a fool.

I don’t care so much about what George Bush does, it is what Cheney is doing that scares the hell out of me.

I am 37 weeks and every time I go I get nervous. I have had an easy pregnancy. My baby has a strong heart beat, I have not gained to much weight, and I have not had any swelling. My little girl is usually pretty active, but now she is running out of room and moves less and that makes me worried. When I go to the doctor I always worry that they are not going to find a heartbeat and now the new fear is that they are going to have me schedule an induction or c-section. I don't want to make the choice on my own, but my husband can't make all of my appointments since he is trying to get a lot done at work before she come since he is taking 2 weeks off.

If he could find a way to remain in office permanently, suspend the Constitution and declare martial law, he would do it.
