A demon is an angel of the devil. I do think they exist, I have faith in God and his word and he says that they exist. I'm sure that we encounter them daily, I believe they are always around us trying to screw up our lives and make us miserable. I believe in spiritual warfare.

I believe that "demons" are actually extra-terrestrials. Before you dismiss this, just listen to my non-conspiricist views:
1. demon is a split derivative of de and mon; de means "of" and mon means "mountain". Demons are "of the mountain".

2. Where is this mountain? The ancient Greeks theorized that the Gods lived on a mountain called Olympus.

3. No one could ever find Mount Olympus.

4. Could this be because it isn't on this world?

5. Demons are usually seen as fiery beings. If you saw a rocket landing on the ground back in the days when the horse-drawn carriage was a new thing, wouldn't you misinterpret the beings inside of it as being parts of the larger whole?

6. Demons were and are seen to have magical powers. Magic is relavent to the way we see technology. If one brought a remote-control missile back to the middle ages, those kings might have thought that you could summon the powers of the universe with a wave of a hand. Magic? Or misinterpreted technology?

I have encountered a demon. Doctors for 6 years have been putting me on antipsychotics and none have worked.
My doctor now finally agrees that I am being posessed. They are evil spirits with harmful intentions and can inhabit people.Good spirits can guide you and love you throughout your life.
If anyone says there is no such things as demons, I'd like them to hear my full story since I was 13 and give me their explanation.

For starters when you think of demons you, like most folks, probably think of vicious, evil devil spawned grotesque things. Well, some are not so pretty, and others are not so sweet, but for one thing they are not spawned by the devil, nor are all of them evil or ugly or harmful. Some of them can be very helpful and very kind, -some of them.

But what are Demons? Well there are some folks that think demons are evil spirits, others think that demons are created by the devil; well I don’t really believe that one. I think that demons were not human. I think that demons are as much apart of nature as angels are. If you want to learn more about demons then I would recommend the Key of Solomon and the Goetia; these works talks about demons and also how to summon or evoke them.
Remember to evoke means to call up, or to summon. To Invoke means to allow them to climb inside of you. Please always remember whether you evoke or invoke a demon, spirit, or God, you need to properly banish, dismiss, or finish with what ever it is you have called upon. This is where I see most mistakes take place when dealing with demons and spirits as well; they summon them but do not banish them properly. There are plenty that can or have the guts to summon a demon. But it seems like only a handful are smart enough to realize that you have to be the one to remain in control. You have to be able to end the session with the demon or angel or spirit you have called upon, or you will be paying the consequences! So it is your responsibility to be educated enough in the manner in which to be able to summon, stay in control and to banish a spirit or demon. I personally believe if you are new to magic and or witchcraft that you do not need to try to summon until you have been properly educated on the manner of summoning. Play with fire and you can get burned or worse harm someone else!

There are some that will say to summon a demon is only to summon a different part of our self, or our own mind? I can not say that this is not so, I mean I have all ready agreed that we only use a small portion of our brain, could it possibly be that summoning a demon is only opening another part of our own self?

There is a Christian belief, in one of the Bibles that states that we are all demon possessed upon birth into this world. That we are not free of demons until we accept Jesus into our hearts? Just food for thought not actually my thoughts.

I personally can not tell you what is truth and what is not. I do know that upon summoning a demon there are different feelings that happen along with the summoning. I am also not so sure that there is that much difference between demons and angels. I think that you can summon or call upon them in the same manner. I also believe that demons and angels alike have good in their ranks and bad.

Do I think they are real? I think that our world calls for balance, if you have male… you have female, if you have light… you have dark, if have angels… you have demons.

I also think that as with angels that there are different orders of demons… lesser demons and greater demons…

But… then again, you asked and opinion… do you think they exist… my answer is yes, I do think so.

My dad was a mormon (freemason) and welcomed them into the house, so I use to wake up with them in my room, in my dreams (nightmares). I have had some troubles with encubus's and once a succubus.m I also had some problems with a freddy crugar type demon that left scratches on me.
Fire demons live in the upper air, aerial demons inhabit the atmosphere, terrestrial demons inhabit woods, and forest, Aqueous devils inhabit bodies of water and waterways, subterranean demons inhabit caves and mountains, heliophobic demons appear only at night, Beelzebub (sins of pride), Leviathan (sin against faith), Asmodeus (sins of luxuriousness and wantoness), Balberith (homicides, quarrels, and blasphemy), Astaroth (idleness, sloth), Verrine (impatience), Gressil (impurity, uncleanness), Sonneillon (hatred), Carreau (hard-hearted), Carnivean (obscenity), Ocillet (temptation to break vow of poverty), Rosier (abandoning God for the flesh), Belias (arrogance), Olivier (mercilessness), Luvart (inactive). Demons who possess people and demons who infest houses, these are not ghosts they are demons:

When I was pregnant with my first child, before I knew I was anyway, I had the window open to my 2nd story apartment and my husband was out of town on his two week whatever they call it in the national guard for the summer. I am a light sleeper and felt something evil enter the room from the window. I felt the breeze. It was cool (it was June in San Antonio, so cool is usually well received in the 90 degree heat.) Anyway...I felt something enter my body right around my chest and I jumped up with a start. When I opened my eyes, I saw this very vicious looking dark green big faced monster staring at me with his mouth wide open (lots of teeth). I jumped up, closed my eyes, rubbed them and looked again. He was gone. The window curtains fluttered more. My heart thumped wildly and I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. I said many prayers and finally at dawn fell asleep. 6 weeks later, I found out I was pregnant. My doctor said it happened during the two week duration my husband was out of town. I said no way, but he said he had never been wrong before. Well, that was my only child born on time to the day expected. The others were late. So, I am guessing that he was probably late too and it was more as my later Obgyn had said to me and that is that many women have nightmares when we are pregnant. It didn't seem like a nightmare and he's a sweet young man always has been. But it sure feeled freaky. (Twilight zone begins now).

From my point of view, demons are very real. They are manifestations of evil that slip into our reality. Unable to be visible by an average or "normal" human, they make themselves known through a feeling. When you feel what could be described as a "bad feeling" then a demon is possibly making itself known. Just step away from a situation like that.

I think of demons as evil spirits from the devil. Maybe I'm wrong but thats my idea of a demon. I believe it's possible for people to become possessed by them like in the excorsist. It said somewhere in the bible that Jesus (or God) cast demons out of people and into swine (pigs). So I guess I could believe that they are real.

A demon is a worker of the devil and yes they do exist! They are very real,of coarse there are going to be people who say they don`t,but I know better,I think people who don`t believe are just people who aren`t open to seeing or wittnessing them,it can be a scary thing!I have wittnessed this several times,It would be a long story.
