I really want to see him make it. I have been following him since High School and he is a great guy in an era of punk athletes.

You already know the one thing that would keep Peterson from becoming a superstar: Injuries.
The dude is freakishly talented.

Well, 1KSboy didn't realize that the Vikings have a pretty solid O-Line. Taylor was one of the top rushers in the NFL. The two things that could hold AP back would be injuries and a lack of passing offense. The ViQueens are so one dimensional. They can't pass and they can't stop the pass. AP will have to be God if the Queens want a shot at a Wild Card. His talent and speed could place him as one of the greats though.

Definitely. i think it is a blessing he has chester taylor because you do not ever want to put all the load on a rookie rb no matter how good they are and were in college. He will learn without having the pressure of running every down and he was meant to be a rb. when you draw comparisons to erik dickerson you must be good. He should take it slow his rookie year and season to become a great rb. He has the potential. It also helps to have another rb carrying the ball so peterson will have a less of achance to get injured and we would not want that.

I think that Adrian will be a star if he stays healthy as he certainly has great power and speed and lots of natural ability. I also believe that Calvin Johnson will be another star in the NFL. Both are class acts and I will certainly follow their careers.

He's going to be a monster. When he came out of high school he was the only recruit I had ever heard of who was ready for the NFL at 18. The Vikings are already better just because they have him.

He has the talent and the heart, but I am a little worried about injuries. I would have to hold off on the superstar for now.

Totally agree with Pete Gibbons on this one, the only thing that will keep Peterson down is injuries.

yea he has the pontenial to be a superstar running back. amazing player with the combinaion of speed and power. he will be unstopable. but injuiries will be his biggest oppenent. well it was his collar bone that got injuired so it aint that bad, but he is still kinda injuir prone. but watch out he ll be amazin in his prime time. well running backs dont have the longest football spans. but he ll have his fun in his prime.

Do me a favor.... Watch petersons game against texas from his freshman year and after that you should be able to make a very very very good guess as to whether he will make it or not.

If Brian Urlacher doesn't kill him in the first few years he will be at least memorable, if not HOF material.
