eat very slowly, chew your food thoroughly and put your fork down between mouthfuls. drink a glass of water before and during your meal. know when you are full, i have a tendency to want to finish everything on my plate, even when I'm bursting! put smaller portions on your plate. avoid white food (bread, potato rice). worked for me, i lost 8lbs. good luck!

Salads until you never want to see another salad again aslong as you live. Oh and use fat free dressing. Cost more but works.
