it is overrated say he is a prodigy of Jerry West. A bonehead manager like him, Laker wouldn't go anywhere but down. He couldn't even stand for himself.

It all depends on this summer... but obviously if he doesn't land another superstar and find a way to get Kobe to play.

First: He has really missed in terms of the draft- he missed on Tony Parker (so we got Smush Parker- what the freak???) Missed out on Gilbert Arenas a couple of years ago, Manu Ginobli, Barbosa, etc. (the list is endless...) but the Lakers draft picks have sucked.

Second: Look who he traded Shaq for? Originally Dwayne Wade was supposed to be part of that deal.

Third: you turn around and trade Butler for Kwame? (the only reason anyone wants him now is so they can take 9.1 million off the books- he sucks!

So all this being said- the guy has not pulled the trigger to get J. Kidd when they had the chance, and other deals.

Mitch sucks! But timing is key and i think if he can get something done right now to fix the Laker situation he deserves a little more time- but if he can't get his butt out of there!

hell yeah what has he done for the lakers???? absolutely nothing he practically gave away shaq. with the most dominant player this decade you think you would get a lot in return??? yep we got lamar(underachiever) grant (constantly injured small big man who was wwwaaayyyy past his prime) and caron ( he was good but we traded him away). we couldve gotten all them plus d wade. or with the nets we could have got kidd k-mart and richard jefferson. well all we couldve had that mitch kupchak ****** up??
