My pc wont work after a storm hit .It wont go past the DELL logo asks me what mode I want to use then stars up again and just keeps repeating over and over

You really should have had it plugged into a surge protector, and anything else that connects to the computer. Sounds like you may have had a power surge during the storm and if that's the case, you may be the proud owner of a fried computer. Sorry.

OK, if a storm really blasted your PC, you might need to take your machine in for repairs, but here's something you can try. Boot the PC up to the BIOS settings screen (your user manual will tell you how to do this). There should be an option to "Load Factory Settings" or something like that in the BIOS settings. Select that option, and then do a Save/Exit. Then see if you can boot your machine. Good luck.

This could be due to several things but my guess is it's your power supply and or motherboard that got fried.
