Molasses and something with vitamin C in it (like orange juice). Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron.
I think molasses is the quickest way to get iron. Just take a spoon full once a day and your iron will start going up.
I know for a fact it works because I have had my blood tested for iron before and after taking molasses.
A lot of different foods contain iron, but I don't think most of them are as easy to assimilate as molasses. You can take iron pills, but there is some danger you might get too much iron if you do that.

Obviously iron tablets, but it pays to go to the doctor and get your iron levels checked first to see how much you need. Too much iron can make you constipated. Make sure you take Vitamin C along side iron - there are iron supplements out there with added vitamin C - this helps carry the iron through the blood, making it easier to absorb. Throw in a kiwi fruit too, for both constipation and a bit more vitamin C!

Try taking Slow Iron ( Fe),it's absorbed by the body @ small intervals vs.Regular Iron( Fe), both are available over-the-counter, that hits your body@ once.It is recommended to take Iron with O.J. as it helps your body to store the Iron better. The problem with an Iron supplement is that it can make you constipated and, it can cause your bowel movements to be quite dark or black. To ease the problem of constipation, you can purchase over-the-counter stool softener ( Colace or the generic brand) which, will prevent straining and prevent constipation. You can always speak with a pharmacist as to what to expect when you take an Iron supplement. What has your doc suggested for your low iron?? Is it related to something else that is going on with you??? I hope that this helps.

how do you know your iron is low? Did you have it tested by you doctor, if so the dr. show prescribe you some iron supplements or suggest some over the counter ones. Taking too much iron can be harmful to your health, so be careful.

Do they know what's causing your low iron level? If it's an inability to absorb the mineral via your digestive system, then oral supplements will do no good.
