Can i use a 8600 in one spot and a 7950 in another? or do they have to be both 8600's? also, if they have to be the same, do i need the same manufacturer? i wouldnt think so since the chipset is the same, but idk if they even need to be the same model in the 1st place =P

They can be different brands (although same brands are best), however, they must be the same type. So, you cannot have an 8600 and a 7900. You'd have to havetwo of the same GPU's. (graphics processing unit). Either two 8600's or two 7900's etc., etc.
