I downloaded a torrent and now I do not know how to play it on Windows Media Player or Quicktime. The file was not in a .zip folder. What do I need to do to be able to play the movie?

If you only downloaded a torrent file, you still need to download the actual file(s) specified in that torrent file.

A torrent file is a kind of link telling torrent programs where to look for and download the files.

Use client programs such as BitComet or Utorrent to download the file. Use the torrent file you downloaded and the program will do the rest.

go to the torrent forrum, all torrent users are very friendly, do some research, i use three different programs, vlc, media, powerdvd, either one of those will work, but you also need the right codecs and things of that nature.
