A friend just confided that her boyfriend of 30 months just slept with her this weekend for the first time in many weeks. She's cute, petite and seems nice. Also, she supports this guy - literally. Of the time they've been together she says the last 19 months he has avoided or refused to sleep with her. She's talked with him many times, but he claims morally he's not comfortable, but he continues to live with her. She asked me why and I don't have a clue...unless he's gay or seeing someone else. Any ideas??? She's really hurting.

Maybe he is gay. Maybe he is not attracted to her. For him to be morally uncomfortable having a physical relationship with her, he should also be morally uncomfortable with the financial support that she provides him. Urge your friend to end it with this loser guy- he is using her!

Sorry, this is just funny. A lady withholds and she's just mad at the guy, the guy withholds and he's cheating. Seriously though, that's quite a while. Turn it back around on him. Tease him constantly. Make him want it, and when he makes an advance, deny it. Make him wait. This will require some patience. If he doesn't make an advance then he's either got some problems in a general area of one of his heads or he's cheating. Best of luck.

I am a huge fan of abstaining from sex till marriage. If he feels morally inclined I think that he should listen to his consceince. I have friends in the military who are talking about divorcing thier wives before they delpoy, so that their wives wont leave them while they are gone, and take thier extra money that they recieve for being deployed while they are gone. They cant trust thier wives because both ends of the relationship were promiscuous before they were married and now they cant even trust their spouses, because they have never restianed themselves in the past so why would thier wives not cheat on them when they are gone.

I have nothing to add to the previous answers, other than the fact that there may be a self-esteem issue around the unemployment.
Sex is a lot more emotional for women than for men--sort of. There can be an emotional basis to male performance issues. You didn't say if that was a problem.
I can't stand it! Joke attack! Maybe the boyfriend needs medication, such as viagara or midixidud or ibpoken.

He is just living with her for the cheap rent and getting it elsewhere. She is not all the great if she is telling you about her sex life, unless she wants you to help fill in the missing sex.

i'm sorry, i cannot be sure without more information.
it could be that he is gay, or just not attracted to her..or has lost respect for her since she supports him..or he is depressed ..
in any case, he doesn't sound mentally healthy, because healthy people like to make love.
