I was thinking of going to school for auto body repair. What kind of pay do these people make? Do they stay busy?

I don't know the pay but its a great business. If you think about it, how many people get in a car accident? And how many people want to change the color of their car? Automotive jobs open a lot of doors. You can maybe own your own shop one day or take it a little further and become an auto body teacher. Id say go for it.

This is a** busting work.Yes you can make a good living at it but the work can tend to be almost seasonal as it gets slow and busy at different times of the year and there is also alot more competion than there used to be.Also recently insurance companies are cutting labor times down to nothing.Honestly I think it would be better for you to pursure mechanics as a trade

You can make a very nice living doing auto body repair. It's not like people can choose not to have accidents, right?
Once you build up a good reputation you'll always have work...even enough to open your own shop.
Best of luck to you.
