I think it's some sort of strange combination, and that 'love at first sight' is not necessarily physical attraction.

true love should be a friendship. u should b able to trust friends and share ur life with them. those r the types of people u should want to spend the rest of ur life with. love at first sight is basically saying "hey, i like the way u look. wanna date me?" thatll last for about a week. but if u actually become friends with that person and start to love them, u were still their friend before u learned to love them.

I think what people call "love at first sight" is not actual love, just instant attraction. True love is something that takes time and knowing your partner in order to develop.

love at first sight is just a dumb story thought up by some romantic who wanted to have an excuse for being "in love" with someone attractive.
true love isn't attraction, it's a feeling that comes when you begin to really care about someone, and i believe that it's rather hard to care for someone THAT much if you've barely met them. and i also don't think that it's all romance either, you can love your siblings and cousins and all the rest of your family, and friends.

'love at first sight' is actually physical attraction. the love that grows over the years, through trials and tribulations, is true love. many instances of true love start out as physical attraction, but eventually you get to a point where you have to work at it.

Joined to one another -- yuck.
I've always found it odd that people would qualify an emotion in this way -- true love. Isn't that like saying true anger, or true guilt.
And by contrast that doesn't imply false emotions -- false love, false anger, false guilt.
