The only importance of any newspaper to me is that Yorkie does his business on it. If I want to get the news, I always have the Internet.

With just about everything going online a newspaper is almost a thing of the past. Every time I read a paper in Kentucky I had to go wash my hands. The place to find accurate news almost up to the minute is online.

Some people may think newspaper is obsolete. I don't. MY family loves to read and I get the State paper each day. It's informative. Before the days of internet and constant tv, you bet the newspaper was needed and welcome. It still is, as far as I'm cocerned.

A public forum for the media to inform the public about events, crime, politics, or any other type of news. Same as the news on TV, or on the internet. If you are inferring that it is antiquated, I would disagree in my opinion there is still plenty of people in the world that read news papers, besides they are easy and convenient to carry with you.
