There are two types of reality. What is real and what is percieved as real by the person percieving it.
If you think I am real then I probably am. I can not tell you what is real or not because what is real to me might not be real to you.
Do you really get this.
Cool question.
I like it.

Anything that can feel is real. Anything that knows what it's like to hurt, to experience joy, to be excited at something, is real. At least that's what I feel (and the rhymes are NOT intentional)
Everybody's perception of reality is going to be different, so anyone who has a perception of reality..well, is real! You don't need a long drawn out discussion of Plato, Socrates, Descarte, Aristotle or any of the other great philosophers to know that. They all had different viewpoints as well.
I'm real, and so are you..how else could you have asked your question?

Reality comes in degrees, and we call something "real" to the extent that it is permanent and effective.
Consider, for example, why in the English legal tradition land is referred to as "real estate" or just as "realty." What is especially real about land?
Well ... it stays where it is. Chattels can move or can be carried about ... intellectual property is a rather abstract notion with no fixed location. Land, or permanence of place, is the paradigm of the real ... hence, "realty"!
Also ... land is fruitful. Without it, nothing grows and ultimately nothing lives. So land is both permanent AND has effects for everything else.

How snotty, you must be very insecure. Since you don't know any of the folks here, you don't have an IQ level. Here is a reality check, we are real, you are not. All the "what" that doesn't concern you is real. The "what" that is you is miniscule. Have a nice day from us real folks.

"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about your senses, what you feel, taste, smell, or see, then all you're talking about are electrical signals interpreted by your brain." -Morpheus "The Matrix"
In truth, reality is what you make of it. Life itself can shed reality if you surround yourself with the surreal; drugs, alcohol, sex, material things.
If you want to experience "real,"
- Engage in a conversation with someone you've just met. a conversation of substance about things you would generally hide about yourself or your personality.
- Help another person for no good reason, with no expectations of anything in return.
- Stop adhering to the "norm." Don't allow yourself to see stereotypes, see people for who they are.
- Quit fantasizing that you live in the Matrix, that was a movie (Just kidding about that last one)
Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

We're a figment of God's imagination, so if you imagine something then it shouldn't be real, at least not at first. If you imagine it long enough it should become real, even superstition can become real.

why do you ask a question that we "can't answer"? and we can answer it no matter what, you never said we had to answer it correctly.
yes everything is real or we would not be able to question whether we are real or not. the only things that are fake are things that we made up, and we couldn't have made up ourselves. something else couldn't have made us up either because we were created.

Am I real? I'm real enough to feel pain and happiness aren;t I? I'm real enough to feel sadness, contentment, confusion, etc.
That's real enough, I know who I am, that's real, where i;m at thats real, the facts are real, the truth is real. It's only real to you when you accept it and feel it. Then you will know.
