Maybe because the rest of were forced into the "Disunited Kingdom". England spent hundreds of years trying to destroy our cultures and languages Did you know that Welsh kids were beaten in school, some were beaten to death in school, for speaking Welsh up to the beginning of the 20th century? Did you know that it's still, technically, legal for an Englishman to kill a Welshman found inside the walls of Chester at night? Or a Scotsman found on the beach on the Isle of Man? We can't even go into Ireland here!!!!
OK, the two laws above probably wouldn't be enforceable now, but the fact that they are still on the statute books speaks volumes.
I could go on but there's really no point - if you're Welsh, Scots or Irish you understand already and if you're English then you never will.

I would, if some people wouldn't just see Britain as England. You go anywhere and say you are British, they will label you as English.
How many people in the UK call themselves European?

The English only believe in England.
For God's sake why would they want anything to do with the Welsh, Scots or Irish. They might be contaminated.
Who are the English exactly anyway ?

I don't, I am English and therefore only believe in England, all the so called other countries are just a myth. The whole universe revolves around England. :-)

I don't think Britain is something you can believe in, it's just there.
It'd be like believing in sandwiches

Maybe because we care about and believe in other people and not just about and in ourselves.
Maybe because we know what team work is.
Maybe because we still respect our ancestors and where they came from, i.e. Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales as well as England.
Maybe because being united in our traditions still means something.
I'm a lass born in England, I'm the only one in my family to be born in England. Everyone else in my family were born in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. We've always described ourselves as a British family, and we always will do, because being British is what unites us. (As well as all the love and friendship we hold for each other of course)
