Gamecube Controller for my Wii?

I gave my gamecube console to a friend to use but now I need a gamecube controller for my wii. Since a genuine gamecube controller is hard to find, will a 2nd and 3rd party gamecube controller work on the wii? Got mixed reviews on them when I went online to GameStop, Circuity City, Best Buy, etc.

yep any gamecube controller will do.but some brands produce low quality controllers
but I'm not sure which ones. try go to your local gamestop or Eb Games and ask which is a better brand.plus you could find some used genuine Nintendo gamecube controllers there.

Yes, So you can play gamecube games on it, Or some games for the wii will have the option to play it with a gamecube controller.

All gamecube controllers work on the Wii. Just make sure the controller is functional.

I have 2 madcatz gamecube controllers and they work just fine on my Wii. It also uses up to four controllers and your memory cards (but they only work for gamecube games).

As an aside: I your looking into buy an sd card for your Wii any brand of sd card will work plus they are usually cheaper than the nintendo brand.

You can absolutely use a GameCube controller on it - I believe you can have only two controllers unlike the GameCube which you can have 4.
