It is about love. Older or younger makes no difference (as long as it is legal) as long as you have common likes, interests, and are in love.

I've known successful marriages 30 years apart. It all depends on your comfort level. Write down a list of all qualities and requirements if you had an ideal man. Then rewrite EACH category and see how much lower you'd go before you'd say no way. for esample,m the ideal man is 6 feet, 175 boubnds and in shape. You might accept a man 5 foot noine inches, 169 pounds, and in shape too, or even with a small tummy if he's a great guy. Only you really know. religion is also important if you say so.

This gives you a cofort level and acceptance level.

For examples, if the guy is 61, but wants kids and you do, if he';s well off and can prove for many years, if his health is good, if he is clean, brave, spoiritual, and these things are important to you, oif his own dad is still active in his 80s, and is in shape, you might even consider this a possiblioty.

Do not get hung upo only oin the age, uinless the guy is in bad health or his famioly had illlnesses in their 60s and early deahts,.

Do you honestly know what age is? Age is just a number given to EVERYTHING to describe how many years that it has been here on earth. Now certainly not everybody agrees with this, so what you want to consider this: You are only 31 years old and at some point, the man in question will want less intimacy. Whether he is 60, 70 or even 80. At what age will you be at that time? Something else to consider is how much criticism can you endure from people who think otherwise? Think about it.

A.) It's contigent on the divorcee and her lover. Some people are three months apart and they fight like cats and crocodiles, but others are decades apart and they find a way to have a pecaeable, happy life together.
B.) "allow herself to fall in love with"? If you can allow or disallow yourself to do it then it's not what I would consider love.

...then again I'm a firm believer in true love.

With respect to psychologist, a 10 year age range either direction, is what they think will be a successful relationship for various reasons. But then I'm 57 and my wife is 42. Go figure?

There is a formula they apply...of course I think it was invented by men.... they say a man should marry a woman half his age plus 7 yrs....so that would mean a 48 year old guy is as old as you should go. Of course, I recommend marrying the guy you love regardless of age...after all you are well into adulthood and should make the right decisions for the right reasons.

I Think that love should not know an age or know bounds. As long as you feel the connection between you and another person, as well as being happy with yourself for the choices you've made, then you should not have a problem. My friends parents are 20 years apart and they're still going!. Nothing matters as long as you have a connection with the person and they make you happy :)

Allow herself? Why would there be a limit on love? If two people actually love each other and have a lot in common, why would age have anything to do with it? I would say it is unwise to put love in a box and make it a neat little package so that it fits in your mind or minds of others. Love is messy, love is a whirlwind of change, and it doesn't fit in a box. :)

Hey at this age your still young! Go out have fun and don't worry about age, it's only a number. There are very sexy and considerate men out there of all ages. My mother was with a man 20 years older than her and they were happy. Hey, also us women are getting better at getting younger guys, so don't count them out either. Good luck.

Shouldn't the question be how much younger? If they are 57- 65, I'd definately not want to go there.
