Try "I, Jedi." A bit different as Stackpole wrote it from a first person point of view instead of the more traditional third person.

The closest I can come is "I, Jedi" or perhaps the Jedi Academy trilogy. The Jedi Apprentice series will take you through Obi-Wan's Master-Padawan training, but not anything prior. Also, the Young Jedi Knights series has some training in it, but has more to do with the Solo twins and their various adventures.

There isn't really any one book out there that does what you're looking for....yet.

The only SW novel I can think of that's sort of, but not exactly, what you're looking for is "I, Jedi" by Michael Stackpole.

There's a Jedi Apprentice series, all or most by Jude Watson, the first few books of which take place mostly in the Academy.

If you're looking for something a little deeper, there's "Star Wars and Philosophy" (non-fiction).

I, Jedi woudn't really resolve your hunger for a jedi from zero to hero since Corran Horn's voyage through the force really began in Rogue Squadron. You'll have to read that series first and that's 9 books.

There really is no single book that I know of that covers zero to hero stories, you'll have to sift through more than that.
