Usually most mechanics will replace all four plugs during a good tune up.But if you have a condition where the plugs have recently been changed, and only one has fouled, isolating the fouled plug and cleaning or changing just the bad one may be smarter.

There are two types of Tune-ups #1.A minor tune-up where the spark plugs in your case FOUR (4) of them are replaced and the air filter, pcv valve, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor IF YOU CAR HAS THEM are inspected and only replaced if required.#2. a major tune-up is where the spark plugs, air filter, pcv valve, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor IF YOU CAR HAS THEM are replaced irregardless of condition.A minor tune-up is usually done every year or 12 k miles where as a major tune-up is done every 3-5 years.Spark plugs should be replaced in sets as they are relatively cheap.

always replace all 4. Find your cause for the bad plug too. It will just go bad again and again if there is a problem. High mileage? Do a compression test to see if the cylinders are balanced.
good luck....

4 plugs and they are only a buck and a half a piece, but I guess you could, by pulling the plug wires off each one and putting it back until you find the one that makes no difference.
