We all seem to be intimately connected (in every way imaginable) to each other and everything else in the universe, so are we literally all the same thing that has been subdividing and re-combining since the beginning.

I mean literally the same. I know we are all part of the universe like cells in a person's body, but I wonder if we are all exactly the same thing from a Physics point of view even though it might seem to be a Metaphysical question.
