How do you know what color of mascara is good for you?

The color you choose for mascara depends on the effect you are trying to achieve.
Black - good for most skin tones. Only extremely pale, light blond women should hesitate to make sure they don't look washed out or have a harsh look for daytime.
Light black - good for women w/ dirty blond hair & pale skin.
Brown - women w/ light blond or red hair should try this out for a more natural, daytime look.
Mascaras in other colors like blue or violet - can be used for a more fashion forward effect. Deep blue mascara at the tips can make the whites of the eyes looke whiter. It also can help brown eyes pop.

Some mascara wands contain rayon or nylon fibers to lengthen eyelashes.

omg, please dont use covergirl or maybelline mascara. they take the title for having the worst mascaras out there.
well you can try any color really.
i would suggest you get a good mascara from sephora.
they all make your lashes look really long if applied right.
[dior or lancome]
its a little more expensive than drugstores, but really worth every penny.

black mascara is good for everyone don't use anyother color cuz no offense it looks really bad

blonde hair= dark brown
light brown hair= soft black
dark brown - black= dark black
red= soft black

If you have dark brown or black hair you should go with black, if you have light brown or blonde hair you need brown or brownish black.

it depends on your hair color.
blonde-lightbrown= brown to brown/black
auburn-brown= brown/black to black
dark brown-black= black to charcoal or onyx.
