Sometimes. Not necessarily depression, but some other vague, undefinable feeling of negativity.
Sometimes what I do is pick up an Eckhart Tolle book or CD and give it a go. He brings such consciousness, that you are bound to get at least a little beyond the negative state.
Meditation is another good one. Depression is a feeling right? It's something that comes and goes. Just the fact that you can notice it, means that you are not it. You are that which notices it. Your identity breaks from the depression when you see that it's there.

I agree that lack of communication cause a couple misery. No matter what problems my husband and I are experiencing, when we talk about we feel a lot better. Just knowing someone else is there for you to talk to makes a world of difference in how you handle the situation. They can shed light on a problem and offer a solution that you might not have thought of. Lack of communication can really wear you down make you worry more than you should.

Depression has causes it doesn't just happen. People who are clinically depressed are the exception. I knew of a friends' uncle who was constantly depressed and one day he went to the park and shot himself leaving a note that he couldn't take anymore. How strange that he thought suicide the way out of his depression.
Jesus is the WAY and like other answerers have said do something else, fight for your life.
Feelings change like the weather but God's love remains so trust in God always he won't let you down.

I always feel depressed and there is always a reason, I just not be aware of what the reason is, so I try to figure it out. Sometimes a person can feel depressed because of a dream they had even though they don't remember it. There is always a reason you need to figure out what it is, then correct it. : )

A lot of people feel depressed for no reason. In fact, most people who suffer from depression can't express a reason for feeling depressed. If this continues, you should see your doctor. That's what I did and he prescribed some meds and I am much better.

Yes, but it lifts. If it doesn't, try Mustard, A Bach Flower Essence. To know more about Flower Essences, take the free online course at:
http://floweressencesintro.onlinecourse.com/
I teach the course but don't sell any flower essences.

yes, alot. I do various things. like go shopping, get a new credit card, watch a funny movie, call my mom, anything to get your mind on something else. be careful, if you do the new credit card thing, don`t max it out all at once, this will make you more depressed!

Yes, and it is not always definable as to why--a hard day, a lost opportunity, the news. It depends on the cause. Meditation and reflection works for me. I step outside of "me" amd look at things as objectively as I can, without compromising my values.............
