It has been suggested that the WWE glorifies the belittlement of women with roles as "divas" and "hos" on the program, without mentally and physically strong characters.

The days of Chyna and original Lita are past. Put the Benoit thing aside. Does WWE program portray women in a negative way and if so, what must be changed to give women a better role on the shows?

The WWE have had talented female wrestlers, but pushed them aside in favor of the eye-candy type diva. Even the talented athletes they have like Mickie James and Jillian Hall are underused so that Playboy cover girls can shine.

I don't mean to disrespect Candice Michelle, she's improving a great deal, but the WWE wants "Divas" as opposed to female "wrestlers" just as they want "superstars" instead of male "wrestlers"

I liked it better when China, and Lita wrestled, it was about wrestling, not who gets into playboy, or lets see pudding wrestling. On the other hand you gotta admit that the WWE was smart for taking the direction of adding some pretty hot ladies.
As far as image for women, no I don't think it's a good thing.

Honestly they would have to learn to wrestle. All they are is eye candy, I would rather watch them dance than put on a lousy match.
