it won't play cd or dvds (there is no sound). She has windows media player. the player randomly starts up and won't eject whenit is suppose to. She has had the motherboard replaced and the drive replaced . any help would be greatly appreciated

if you try the first suggestion and that doesnt work then you probly have a drivers issue. other thatn that its possible though not likely that you have gotten some bad "new" hardware.

go to control panel and add hardware and make sure computer is picking up the device and then i would get the media player 11 thats always helpful
