also, seperate question, does having an unknown person on your wifi have an effect on it?

okay, maybe a better way of phrasing my question is is there a way of getting someone's wep key?

Well there probably are things to help you commit a felony but the answer is not allowed by Yahoo's rules!

Go ASK the owner and use it LEGALLY!

There are some people that do not set the security on their WiFi, maybe because they don't know how. Several weeks ago I was in New Hampshire at my mom's house and found an unsecured network that allowed me Internet access with my laptop.

I am not sure what effect there is having an unknown person on your WiFi other than the possibility of unknown users accessing your computer. Or if you have bandwidth limits on your account and an unknown users start massive downloading and gets your account shut down.

No. You can use a program to capture the WEP, you will still need the WEP key.
