The WWE seems to be trying to cover for themselves via a prepared statement on their website; I think it seems that they are afraid that people will get sick and tired of their athletes taking steroids. A tremendous number of these great athletes have died at an early age, many from heart attacks, a prime symptom of long term steroid abuse. (a college friend of mine died at age 30 from a heart attack via steroids).

My Challenge:

Will Vince McMahon allow frequent and surprise testing of any of his athletes at ANY time for the next year? If he finds out that any of his athletes are abusing steroids, will he allow himself to face charges for allowing steroid use in his establishment?

IF steroids are not the issue, as the WWE contends, then they should take the challenge, don't you agree?

Oh, Frank? Do you know how many WWF/WWE wrestlers have died from heart attacks? Not just Eddie Guerrero, but Road Warrior Hawk, Mr Perfect Kurt Hennig, and 3 of the VonErick brothers, as well as many others. Don't you find that a bit odd?

Redsox, I am sure WWE testing is done by WWE doctors. Consider it the same as the Bush administration trying to stop illegals from coming across the border. They just turn a blind eye to the problem.

I did some research on the steroid blow up in the late 80's, and found out some interesting details. It appears that Vince had hired a "Dr Feelgood" to prescribe steroids legally to wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper. McMahan was only saved because they went after the Dr. who said he didn't know that the supplements were illegal at the time.
Ok, so now we jump fwd to Benoit, who according to Fox news had LEGAL prescriptions for anabolic steroids when they searched his home. What condition required these prescriptions? Did Benoit have a medical condition or muscle wasting? Doubtful. It will be interesting when they question his Doctor...don't you think?

i think Benoit flipped out on steroids... i think there should be a crack down on them like there is in baseball and other sports... steroids have been used for a while but now there should be a zero tolerance

Forget about the steroids, they don't just jump in your blood stream. It is the person behind the Roid abuse and unfortuneatly that person was Beniot. It is just a shame that 2 innocent people had to be taken away because of someone elses weakness.

Good luck and GOD BLESS the other 2 children that were left behind to reap the pains of this madness. What a shame!

Take a look at Vince man, is he gonna ban himself a roid freak. The goverment needs to step in, kids look up to these morons, they are no kind of example for children. Try explaining what Benoit did to your kids pretty hard i would say.

Some of the WWE athliets already take steriods, but some of them don't. I think Vince already knows they do because no body can get big like that even if they were at the gym 18 hours a day.

Vince would never do that. I think it is a shame that he has allowed, and kinda made, steroids such a part of the wrestling culture.

They already have testing. I'm not sure what the policy is, or if it's just a week system used for PR.

No he won't take the challenge. Are you nuts? Why would someone making all that $$$$$$ shine light on a problem?

Great idea but its never going to happen. Vince won't care as to who does steroids as long as it will help him make more money. They will keep saying that the wrestlers take tests and pass them and all we can do is take his word for it.

I completely agree with you. Though, Chris Benoit tested negative in a steroid test in April. Believe it or not, Batista has been tested 7 times, and every time has been negative.

Sorry it took me see you later to reply once more. this was once an incredible exhibit. The upward push of George of the Jungle has been fascinating up to now. Cookie coming in Tony'y condo as a pizza boy was once tremendous. The predominant occasion was once first-class and I love the Kermit-Woodstock-Snoopy tandem. The addition of Satan & Drago must be a well one. Once once more, incredible exhibit.

This is actually a good idea in furthering the image of a legit sport. Not only are they expecting more of their refs during matches, but they should take the next step and make codes of conduct as well.

They won't take the challenge...because in case you haven't noticed when Vince wrestles, it is obvious HE takes steroids too...He's older than Hulk Hogan, and he has muscles...I don't think so...
