If your wife worked a full time job, cleaned the house, did the laundry, took care of the finances, cleaned the yard and did the gardening, cooked you nice meals every night... what would you think of her? And part two of the question.. What is your wifes role in the marriage (what does she take care of and what do you take care of)?

Also, do you share a bank account, or each of you have your own and split the bills?

hubby and I both work f/t. He takes care of the kitchen (cooking, cleaning, all) and I take care of the rest of the house. May sound one sided, but I HATE the kitchen, and offered this agreement. We pretty well split the outside work 1/2 and 1/2. We get along great and both doesn't mind doing our share.
I'd think in the scenario you listed, the man is very lucky...

I do all of the house work except for some laundry which my husband actually likes doing, formerly we both had F/T jobs but after the birth of our daughter 2 years ago he asked me to stay home because he trusted me to raise her and no one else, I agreed and I am very fulfilled right now with my zero wage job. We have always had a joint account, we share all bills and expenses and since I am not materialistic and he is money left over ater we have taken care of whatever the kids need or deserve is spent on him. Our situation is not for everyone but my family is very close and we like to spoil each other in whatever way each likes to be spoiled even if it's just a day out at the park.

My husband and I both workd f/t jobs, but he usually work an extra 8 hours of over time each week. He cooks, clean, does the laundry, and also keeps up with the yard work/outside maintanence. My husband does not like me to do yard work because he feels like that a guy job. I just help out with the little things around the house. My husband is very very good to me and I would not want to be married to anyone else.

I think she would be doing a lot of work. But some people like doing all of these things. Regardless she should be very appreciated.
We have separate accounts. Mainly because he never writes down what he has spent and just has a rough idea of where the account is, which works for him. However, I always write down everything and we would both make each other batty if we had a joint account.

For us, I stay at home to take care of the kids and take classes online and he is military. We have 2 checking accounts where he has "fun money" and the main account is for the household. I deal with bills, kids, meals (I also make his lunch for work), and all inside of the house chores. He takes care of outside the house chores. Together we fold laundry and take out the trash. We take turns sleeping in and giving baths. Works for us.

Wow... I'm a saint.. lol. Actually, I do work a full time job. I do laundry, clean the house, cook, take care of the finances, take care of the kids, and go to school too. He does mow the lawn, and he works. He's good to me... :)

She serves as a bad example for our kids.
"Its your choice to be like Mom or be like me or a mix of the two."
I do everything and am happy. My wife really doesn't do much, but she is a great example for how laziness make one unhappy.

I just want to say, that you two should have seperate bank accounts and a joint account that you both put money into for misc. things. Trust me and others.....you do not want ONE account together.

That works for me! My wife doesn't do anything but lay around, watch soap operas and get fat.
