Yes! When you are in love with some one, then you think that the idea of having his/her name tattooed is so romantic, etc etc but I disagree for a simple reason, what if things don't work out? then you are stuck with the name for the rest of your life and later on when you get married to this Mr. Right who loves you with all his heart and soul, that is the most awkward thing, because as many time you make love, he/she has to see your x's name on your body, and that gives a bad taste in mouth.

Yep! I had the Japanese Kanji symbols of my girlfriend (she was Japanese) tattooed into another tatt, so it was on the leg of a warrior girl entwined by a dragon. ha ha we broke up so i had a tattoo artist do another one over it, but it doesn't look so good now:(
I don't mind though, my history is my history, I'm proud of the people i have loved and love. I would have left in on my back but another girlfriend didn't like it, which of course i understand, however she's gone now too!
I think it's cool to do regardless of the outcome.

God has His people whom He has chosen (those who love Him) engraved in the Psalm of His Hands.
"Behold I have graven [tattooed] thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls [hands] are continually before me." Isaiah 49:16
It is a figure of speech giving human characteristics to God.
