Best was two Chris De Burgh Concerts.. honestly!

Kings Hall in Belfast in the 80's. The first one was so good I got hold of a cheap ticket and went back for more two nights later.

Worst concert was Marillion at Maysfield Leisure Centre in Belfast in 80's. Too Short and Fish was rubbish.

Bit of a mixture. I went to the Isle of Wight festivals many years ago (Hendrix, Bob Dylan, etc) and the festivals in Hyde Park (Rolling Stones, Blind Faith), but have also been to excellent gigs at London clubs, seasons at Glyndebourne, and best of all opera at Aix-en-Provence. Another one that a friend took me to for a birthday treat was in London at The Globe, when the Tallis Scholars sang. Heartbreaking, breathtaking, joyous, beautiful, beautiful sound ... I can hear it now.

Gurreleider by Arnold Scheonberg, at the London Proms in 2001. Two hours long with no interval but brilliant. It is a choral work with large orchestration.

It is about a prince who falls in love, but the woman he loves is murdered. The prince curses God and as a punishment is forced to ride with some spectral night riders until sunset. Then a new day begins, bringing new life, new beginnings, and new hope.

In 1974 my husband to be took me to see Wizard with the excellent Roy Wood at Sheffield City Hall. It was absolutely brilliant, I have never had the same buzz since. Shame my now ex husband couldn't have been the same.
