Help! I have a friend who's birthday is July 4th. A close, but new friend, you know?
I've known him allmost a year. We went on a few dates, but aren't really dating. He's interested and I want to just be friends. We hang out with mutual friends a lot.

So, I need your help! Nothing too personal, but more than a generic cologne, gift card or such. He has everything related to his varied interests.
Nice wine seems impersonal and we drink that often, so it doesn't seem unique.
I would love to think of something really unusual and different.

He loves music but has any cd you can think of. He loves travel and especially Australia where he lived a while. He has tons of things from there; books, clothing, etc. I can't think of something related to there though that would be great.

He's not wealthy, but loves culture; art, music, books. He's a good photographer, but has all that stuff. Very smart, very funny. I'd like to buy but also make a little something. Help!!

Does he enjoy sports?
You could get him a golf membership, or organize for him to take a sports lesson, something unusual like kayaking or iceskating.
If you have alot of money, you two could go on some exotic vacation like a safari, or cruise or something.
Or you could put together a scrapbook full of memories; ticket stubs, certificates, pictures from his friends, pictures of you two, etc.

Go to www.SignatureDays.com and find an experience that he will love! This is perfect because it is not only unique but is ideal for someone who seems to have everything. He will think you are original, too! The best part is that even if you buy him something he doesn't really like, he can trade it in for any other experience on their website--there are thousands. It also comes elegantly packaged. You just can't go wrong!

A trip to the wine country for wine tasting. A trip in a hot air balloon. You can get one hour flying lessons, that could be fun. A coffee table picture book of Australia.

instead of something material related to one of his interests- think of some active thing relating to his interest. A short tour or cruise where he can take interesting and new pictures, a special concert he might enjoy, a tour through a winery.

Get him an hour of boomerang instruction. It is fun, inexpensive, active, and a great conversation starter. Plus those boomerang folks always look like they are having a great time.
