You dont.Just be yourself and nothing else.Remember being you is who he fellin love with and married so if you change he just might change his impression of you.So its always best to just be yourself

If you have to change to be more of what he needs, you probably shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. Does the fact that you're a free spirit bother him? Sit down with him and both of you write down what you want from the other. Then work from there. Both of you compromising just a little bit will do wonders. Maybe he'll become a little bit more of a free spirit. Who knows? Just have that talk with him.

I would want to know more about what you mean by free spirit. I mean it's not like there's some universal definition for that. So if you are a free spirit because you would like to romp in a pile of leaves and can't pass up a rope swing, then he needs to adjust.

But if free spirit means you like to play around, flirt with other guys, hang out constantly with your friends doing crazy things like getting drunk and running through the streets naked, then maybe you should make the adjustment. I wish I could answer better but I just don't know what you mean by that.

What do you mean by "free spirit", and how does it affect your relationship with your husband? To be honest, I feel that I'm much more "relaxed" and easy-going than my husband; sometimes it feels that he has a stick up his behind (don't tell him I said that! hehe). But for the most part, we complement each other; our personalities seem to "mesh", even though we handle some situations differently. Why does your husband want you to change? What does he need that you can't provide by being who you are? It's hard to say how you can change without knowing more about what his and your needs are.

You are a free spirit;you were born that way.I am too.I tried,at 66yrs.I know know I'll never change.Thank God I was born that way.Ya know something,We are intelligent, objective, able to see the other side of the coin. Now some say we have A.D. D. We get bored easily. That's because most people and standards around us are boring

What are his interest? Meet in the middle. Not sure what free spirit entails for you, but I am sure you can find a middle ground between you and him. What attracted you to one another? Get back to the basics.

you can't change someone. Only if they want to change can they. But you can let them know your feelings and desires. Maybe if he sees how exciting you can be as a free spirit, he'll encourage it more.

Lovey...he either loves you the way you are...or he doesn't. It's a tough pill to swallow but he married you the way you are. Do NOT change for anyone if your happy the way you are and as a free spirit myself, there's not a whole lotta things better,.

perhaps you can elaborate on your statement of being a 'free spirit. {i.e.. are you a thief....do you sleep around with just any body....do you pick a bunch of flowers and sing songs w/your guitar....} please get back to us.
