I have read the play, and I can't find him anyplace!

It could be a derivation of the term "Chorus" who would be an actor who speaks to the audience from time to time to explain to them how the plot is proceeding.

The choragos was the leader of the chorus. He would occasionally step forward and interact with the actors as a minor character.

Just to make things even more confusing, there was also a choragus with a U. His role was roughly similar to a modern producer's--he was expected to finance the training of the chorus and the performance of the drama itself.
