why not, it helps both partners, your friends and you keep it that way....sure beats a sloppy pick up at a bar, some how friends take care of one another better then strangers do and friend do love you with out ever saying so, besides there honest and more open and you never have any thing to hide.

Personally i had a relationship like this once and although it ended 2 years ago, i'm still friends with his person and we still have a great relationship as just friends. But we did have rules and boundaries. But now I have a friend and we ended up having sex and thats only because i fell for him. Now we never discussed what we planned to get from this relationship and now i'm confused cause he acts like he likes he but i don't know. U should always discuss limits and expectations before you start relationship. I think thats what determines if its good or bad and fwb can never last too long or it starts to get out of hand. unless u both can learn to not break the rules.

Friends with benefits can be tricky. You have to make sure that you are both mutualy unattached or that your feelings are mutual. Discuss what you expect from it all (limits, etc) and what wil happen if/once one of you gets into a serious relationship with another person. But, until you are ready to commit to anyone, it's an awesome thing to have! ;)
Have fun!

My belief is that this type of relationship can be fun at first. But eventually feelings that are evident in all relationships begin to take shape and people will get jealous etc. So be careful when thinking about this type of relationship as before you know it benefits just aren't enough and often people start feeling used and/or unwanted.

Jus take the " benefits " an forget the friendship. Frens can be a drag on you energy. The " benefits " are good for your body and mind !

I have done it. But I ended up being treated like a whore. And That is not fair to any women. But if it's mutual and you both have boundries and whatnot, then it is a learning experience.

that's how me and my b/f started then after a year we began to be with each other. for some people it works and for some people it doesn't. so make sure the person your are having sex with is not going to fall for you and want a relationship if that's not what you want and also it wouldn't be a good idea if he slept with other people while he was with you cause he might pass something to you who knows just be careful.

One can develop feelings & the other NOT! THAT would create problems for a friendship.
