My sister had a period at the end of May, again around June 16, and once again began today. She has a dr. appt. for tomorrow morning but is worried and asked me to find out something to help her figure out the possible causes.

Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding that occurs at other times throughout the month other than when having a period) can act a lot like a menstrual period.

It's causes can be because of infection as well or even stress related for some women (I've had this happen before), or other things like fibroids.

The dr will try to help her figure out if it's an infection going on or something else causing the problem.

Has she moved in with other women or spent a lot more time lately with other women? When I first started sharing a house with other females, one of the girls had her period two or three times the first month as all of our cycles started syncing up.

i could say it rather is not premenopause. i've got got here upon distinctive web pages that say it may desire to be an inflamation or maximum cancers and fibrosis. My mom had severe clots and she or he replaced into getting low in iron. it rather is risky to not cope with some thing like this. i understand my mom ended up having to have a hysterectomy. i'm hoping you do persuade her because it rather is substantial to get checked. Is she under a lot of stress? Sometimes when I'm stressing real bad, I have periods close together like that.

Too many different scenarios to speculate. Many times it is something easily taken care of...so tell her to "not buy trouble". Just try to remain calm and go see. She is already on the right track.

She might have PCOS - does your sister gain weight easily or have an acne problem? Does she have really hairy legs? If so - then possibly PCOS.
