First, up front, I'm not a Catholic. Every denomination thinks every other denomination that is more than slightly different isn't Christian. Mainstream Christendom thinks Jehovah's Witnesses aren't Christian. Nobody but Mormons think that Mormons are Christian. Scientologists aren't Christians by anyone's definition. According to Catholics, Protestants are all heathens that aren't Christian and they're all going to hell.

People need to quit focusing on a reward. If you're doing anything or supporting any movement or belief system whatsoever because you expect to be paid either now or in the hereafter, then you won't get any other reward than human recognition on earth.

If you believe that Jesus Christ was a human sacrifice and his blood was spilled on your behalf to make you clean, then you're a Christian. If you don't believe that, you're not a Christian and it's only God's business -- no one else's.

Catholics are christians. This is basic Catholicism 101. No true Catholic would EVER tell a non-Catholic that they are going to hell because that is NOT a Catholic teaching. Where in the world do people get this stuff? As a Catholic, I've been told by non-Catholics that I'm going to hell because I'm not this religion or that. When this happens, all I can say is that there are some very misinformed people out there who badly misrepresent their faiths. How could any religion teach that all others are going to hell? My advice: don't listen to zealots - get your info from an actual priest or minister if you want the facts on what a particular denomination truly believes. Let's all try to have more respect for each other's beliefs. Peace, hon.

A christian is not a catholic and most of the things people now believe are only wrong things! Some catholic or any other religious peoples think that they are christians! Its not so. Any person who acts based on the words of Christ only are Christians. Now those religious peoples who can't understand about present problems and believe blindly that Christ will save them if they hate anything good like 'HUMAN RELIGION' are not Christians but only fools! If so nobody will die those who prayed so. This is because their actions are against the real God. And they move only in a misguided path! While real Christians accept 'Human Religion'
This is according to Human Religion:

Most non-Catholic Christian denominations accept Catholics as Christians. A very few do not.

A dictionary would say that a Christian is someone professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

Catholics would fit this definition.

In the Nicene creed, from 325 A.D., Catholics profess:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.

Through Him all things were made.

For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried.

On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are baptized as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

We truly are spiritually "born again," we just don't usually use those words.

With love in Christ.

Unfortunately catholics set examples and you can only lead by example. Quite simply there are some very good catholics and also there are some very bad catholics.but I have to say some of the best examples of christians appear to be Quakers and The Salvation Army.Alot of us are Christians but some are better than others.
The vatican I think with all its riches and splendour would not have .been comfortable for Jesus Christ. But I feel he would have been very much at ease with the Quakers and Salvation Army..

Catholics are most definetly Christians! We DO NOT worship Mary, we DO NOT tell other Christian denominations that they're going to hell, and if any one Catholic tells you this, they are not truly Catholic. So please stop personal attacks on Catholics!!!!!

1) alot of emphasis is put on mary
2) we tend to tell others'if you are not catholic you are going to hell'
3) others don't understand how we can get drunk as all getout on saturday, go to church sunday and all is forgiven.
4) look at the publicity some priest have gotten
