Okay, first I am a huge wrestling fan and was a huge fan of Benoits so please no rude comments when I ask this. It is an honest question. A man who supposedly strangled his wife, smothered his child, and hung himself got a three hour tribute on Sunday. Why is this man different then the pastors wife who killed her husband, or the woman who drowned her three kids in a lake, or these ******* who kill their pregnant wives? We would never give these people tributes like they were heroes. Is anyone else offended that a man who probably murdered a seven year old child was made to look like a hero? Whether you were a fan of his image or not, let's be honest.

Because WWE were the people that called the police because they thought something was wrong with him. In their statement monday morning on wwe.com they said that the VP of government relations called the cops because people had called him regarding the scary text messages. If they did not think that he was going crazy why call the cops?

I meant monday jeez, typo. Anyway, then why not honor the cop that killed his wife and baby because he was a police officer who protected people and now he has to go to jail.

"The WWE said on its Web site that the organization asked authorities to check on Benoit and his family after being alerted by friends who received "several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning." ABC NEWS. WWE also said that they had further information regarding the death Monday morning but were not going to release any information until the police gave them the okay. This leads me to believe that they knew since he was found hanging, his wife tied up and dead and his son dead on his bedroom floor both with bibles next to them, that it would be almost inevitable that it was a murder-suicide. Sorry just stating the facts.

if they didn't know the whole story, then i think it was okay, but now that they know what a sick ^@^%$@^ he was, they BETTER NOT do a tribute to chris, if so... i'll never watch wrestling again.

First of all, WWE was not notified that Benoit was dead until 4pm Monday. If you look up information on the story it will say the police got to his house at 2:30 and then notified the WWE at 4pm. They canceled the show last minute to pay tribute to him. The police did not give any information to WWE. In fact, all the information that has been heard today was given out today in a press conference held in Atlanta by the cheif investigator of the situation. If you look on WWE.COM you will see that they have changed their homepage to no longer pay tribute to him. Well, that was earlier today. Now they have put up information that defends themselves (because rumors about him being on steriods and going into roid rage has come out even though it was never said in the press conference). You cannot be offended or upset with the WWE for paying tribute to him on Monday. It is obvious that no one knew of the details because everyone was crying and saying how much he loved his family. I'm sure no one would have wanted to say good things about him had they found out about this before. Also, Vince McMahon would not have allowed that to go on because he does not like to do anything that will be bad for business. And if Chris Benoit did commit the crimes accused, then they would not have did a special on him. They probably would have done something similar to what they did for Eddie Guerrero. Had the show go on without storylines and show clips from him wrestling. Although it may be hard, it is important to know that no one knows Chris benoit or his family. We must remember who he was to us, which is amazing wrestler. Chris Benoit obviously needed some personal help that he was unable to receive. Instead of hating on him and showing disrespect to him, we should feel sorry for his wife, his son, and Benoit himself.

He got a three hour tribute on Monday, not Sunday. The press conference was just held today. How was WWE supposed to know what had happened?
