This is an Official Statement from the WWE in terms of Chris Benoit's alledged Steroid Use:
1. The authorities stated that all drugs found in the house were believed to be legal prescriptions.
2. Steroids were not, and could not, be related to the cause of death (asphyxiation). Authorities had no factual basis to speculate as to Benoit’s state of mind, and rightly did not do so.
3. Toxicology tests have not even been completed, so there is no current evidence that Benoit even had steroids or any other substance in his body. In that regard, on the last test done on Benoit by WWE's independently administered drug testing program, done on April 10, 2007, Benoit tested negative.
4. The physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage. The wife's feet and hands were bound and she was asphyxiated, not beaten to death. By the account of the authorities, there were substantial periods of time between the death of the wife and the death of the son, again suggesting deliberate thought, not rage. The presence of a Bible by each is also not an act of rage.
5. WWE strongly suggests that it is entirely wrong for speculators to suggest that steroids had anything to do with these senseless acts, especially when the authorities plainly stated there is no evidence that Benoit had steroids in his body, pending the toxicological reports, and that they had no evidence at this time as to the motive for these acts.

Someone said he was tested and cleared for steroids. I was told to google Dead Wrestlers and see how many haved died this year alone. I think the WWE is going to have alot of explaning to do . We think it was bad when Baseball Players were on them and all the crap that came out of it .WWE has alot more proformers . I am sure with it being a election year all h--ll will brake lose and Mr. McMann might be out of a job. I too, pray for his family and friends. It just seems it happens alot these days. To much pressure and anger.

He wasn't on steroids. WWE tested him last month and he came up NEGATIVE, even the police are saying that "They don't know if Benoit had steroids or anything else in his system".

Very unfortunate that they don't test them for the drug , but I think with Chris it was more then that . Its all about power and may he couldn't face defeat . Who knows may be his wife wanted a divorce and he couldn't faced the reality , and besides these drug do weird things to your body , including depression and paranoia . It's very sad day for the surviving family and the world of wrestling and lets say a prayer for the family .

UMMMMM......because he was wrestler. And WWE is not a pro sport so they do not test. If they were to test, guess what would happen to WWE? Yes he was on steroids as stated by the local authorities.

Does the sun come up in the east? Do fish live in the sea? Is snow found on mountain tops in winter? Do super-muscled athletes use steroids?
