Hey there!

I don't know, whether x-2 is being raised or x being raised, but I'll solve for both ways.

250e^x-2=3000 -->
250e^x=3002 -->
e^x=3002/250 -->
e^x=12.008 -->
ln e^x=ln 12.008 -->
x ln e = ln 12.008 -->
x (1) = ln 12.008 -->
x= ln 12.008 -->
x=2.49 (rounded to two decimal places)

Now, I'll solve it, when x-2 is raised to a power.

250e^x-2=3000 -->
e^x-2=12 -->
ln e^x-2=ln 12 -->
x-2 ln e=ln 12 -->
x-2 (1)=ln 12 -->
x-2=ln 12 -->
x=2+ln 12 -->
x= 4.49 (rounded to 2 decimal places)

So the value of x is either 2.49 or 4.49.

I hope it helps!

250e^x-2 = 3000
e^x-2 = 3000/250
e^x-2 = 12
ln(e^x-2) = ln(12)
x-2 = ln(12)
x = ln(12) + 2
x = 4.485

250 e^x = 3000 +2 = 3002
e^x = 3002/250 =12.008
x lin e = ln 12.008
x = ln 12.008 = 2.4855

I think CPUcate is correct. If you divide by 250 first you also have to divide the 2 by 250.

is it
250 e^(x-2) = 3000
e^(x-2) = 12
x-2 = ln 12
x = 2 + ln 12
x = 4.4849

or is it what cpucate did?
