Well.. I know it might sound sad but.. I never had my very own traditional birthday party. The first time I ever had a birthday party outside of my mother's house, I was 16. And my boyfriend at the time insisted on throwing me a party at his house. He got a custom, german chocolate cake (my fav), decorated his house very nice, and invited some of my closest friends. We hung out and talked and played games and wrestled in the front lawn and watched movies and.... ahhh. It was a great day.
Honestly, the entire party was the best gift I've ever had.

An opal necklace from a boy in 6th grade. It was my first piece of "real" jewelry. I was embarassed at the time, because it seemed so grown up, (everyone else was giving those little statues that said "A Hug for You" or "Best Friends" etc.) but after many many years, I find that necklace most endearing. He was the nicest boy, and I've thought of him many times since 6th grade.
