Define "wrong". Morally, legally, ethically, spiritually ?!?!

Within the context of a loving committed relationship? really it only matters to the two involved in the relationship.

Do I think most people think its "wrong" or do I think its "wrong"? Well, judging from most of the posts on here about 2/3 thinks its OK and NOT cheating and about 1/3 will say its cheating.

I think it has a lot to do with the context of how its used in a relationship. If the partners have a severe difference in their sex drive, it can be useful tool for them to even out their "needs" without looking outside their relationship. Say the man wants it every night, the woman wants it once a month on average. If they cannot reach a compromise and they choose to stay together, the man could use it for a "release" until his wife is willing again. No harm, no foul. I lifetime is a very long time to be dissatisfied with the frequency of sex.

If one partner is ill or unable to perform for a long time (i.e. sickness / cancer / pregnant) then the other can use it as a substitute until the partners are back in sync again.

Now, if you are using it as a replacement for a willing partner, or you are addicted, or you have illegal thoughts because of it (child or beast type things), then it is unhealthly (in some cases illegal) and detracts from the primary relationship.

I also tend to think that being deceptive is a bigger issue than using porn. Like if you do it and hide it from your spouse, they might grounds to be upset because you are being decitful and disrespecting their trust.

I've had nights that I'm tired or she's tired and the other is not ready for bed. Maybe the other partner has an itch that needs to be scratched. We talk about it and we're both fine with it. Sometimes we watch together (just for fun), or to learn new things, or just to spice things up a ltittle.

Like I said - what REALLY matters is how the two people in the RELATIONSHIP define it.

BTW - I do think that women who think its cheating / grounds for leaving when their husbands look at it, but then will withold, or refuse sex to their spouse are just as guilty of breaking their spouse's trust as someone who sneeks it around as a substitute for their partner. Its a two way street and BOTH partners in a relationship have intimate "needs" that should NOT be easily dismissed.

Whatever arraingement they come to with regards to meeting each other's "needs" is strickly on a couple by couple basis.

Finally, I think this (and other topics of sexuality) are things that many people SHOULD talk about prior to getting married, but few do. Hence - all the worries and troubles in this area of marriage. I guess it keeps the Yahoo answers boards jumping though, eh?

Everything is good in moderation. Too much pornography can create an addiction and other psychological problems specially depending the type of pornography your watching. For example, a guy was sentence to life in prison because he raped and killed five children, he admits that it is an addiction and the main reason was watching so much pornography of young teenagers.

Pornography could be good to stimulate couples that are having problems and want to try new things. Also, some doctors say that you should masturbate once a day and pornography is a good way to do it if you are alone.

My personal opinion is to keep pornography to a minimum.

It is extremely wrong if a person is already in a relationship. The thing is most ppl get hooked on it and so they cant stop when they are finally in a relationship, so its much better jut to never start looking at that kind of stuff. Also the companies spend thousands of dollars on each picture to fix the flaws and enhance the pictures into something that does not even exist in real life. then when a person gets married they expect their spouse to resemble that and they feel dissatisefied.

It's illegal if children are involved. But I don't consider pornography to to be "wrong," just an art form, as long as no one is hurt or forced.

Everyone has their own defination of pornography. In my opinion pictures of consenting adults who are exposed in an artful manner should not be viewed as pornography. Some pictures in magazines go overboard and show full penetration and other acts that could be viewed as pornographic. All pics of people taken without their consent should be viewed as porno and pics of kiddies are not only pornographic but sickening and people who get off of on seeing them are sick pups in my opinion. Same with snuff films or pics. They are certainly not artistic and are very pornographic.

No, it's been around for hundreds of years and provides a means of release, so to speak, for pent up tensions. However, in the past century it has become a huge industry with mob ties that exploits women and children. It can continue to be a healthy outlet if consumed in moderation, but restraint is near impossible when it's so available online. Also, addiction can lead to seeking more extreme — and illegal — types, which can lead to prosecution for yourself. Worse, it motivates creeps to go out and provide more.

I feel pornography is wrong. It puts bad thoughts in peoples minds and explicit fantasies where people get addicted to these thoughts and can use them to act them out on someone they care about or just anyone.

The fact that this question even gets asked indicates there's something taboo about it. I wont give my direct opinion, but things perfectly normal need not be asked if they're "wrong".
If it were perfectly NORMAL, then no one would think twice about it...kind of like playing pinball, or jogging.

The fact that it's such a touchy subject (even among mature adults) should tell you something right there. Thumbs down thumbs down whatever I don't really care....

We do certain things as we grow, like we as a kid, play with paper toys, we make paper boats, paper planes, then we grow and we stop it.

Time comes when we play games then then we grow beyond them.

There are things that we do know that they are meaningless but still we do and we leave them as soon as we grow beyond them

Watching pornography isn't something that we live with, its a short span of time that we indulge in with, time passes and we leave it for better things in life.

yes it is. i'm not sure if your a christian or believe in God or anything, i am. in the Bible, it is described as wrong in marriage. a guy shouldn't need, or even have pornography, in the house. your sexual intimacy is for your spouse, not a magazine or a video.
