The police announced right away that they suspected this to be a murder-suicide. As much of a creep as Vince McMahon is, I think this is his all time slimiest move. Maybe the WWE should air a tribute to Bobby Cutts as well.

For those of you who say I'm lying my *** off. There are hundreds of news reports release by the AP by 6:15pm Eastern time on Monday. The police said they were handling it as a murder suicide...nearly 3 hours before RAW airs! Also, police went to his house because the WWE sent them there! The WWE knew damn well when this aired that he killed his family. Bobby Cutts hasn't been found guilty yet of killing his girlfriend and unborn baby...but the police department he works for sure as hell isn't going to throw him a tribute party right now! Why don't you guys check your facts before calling me a liar. Check yahoo news, see when articles were posted and you will find a ton of them posted yesterday before RAW aired. WWE's website last night even said this was treated as a murder-suicide, and that they knew more info but were asked by the police not to reveal it. Also they could put 2 + 2 together after he missed Sunday night with his "personal reasons". Idiots.

regardless of how he was at his job, which is what wrestling is, he killed his family. How any human being can say how great a man he was is incredible. I watched last night WWE and saw interview after interview about what a great man he was and how he loved his kids......for egads...folks he killed one of his kids! If he had simply killed himself, sure i would not comment on this...but he killed his family....and to think even the WWE (which I am sure they knew what had happended by showtime last night) Had this 3 hour show dedicated to a man who killed his family.....what has this country come to? I have watched wrestling (all differant areas of the world) since the late 1960,s and anyone remember pedro morales? well thats how long I have loved the sport....

First you stupid a s s. Find out all the facts before you make a bold a s s statement like that one.
WWE found out about the possibility of the double murder/suicide thing just as quick as everybody else did.
In your details you clearly said that the police suspected a murder-suicide. And the fact that the Bobby Cutts situation is worse & not even final means that you are always a dumb-*** who jumps to conclusions.
I am one of those people who believes that Benoit & alot of others who killed family members can have alot of stuff going on at home. Once again it still isnt final. MORE ****** DETAILS HAVE TO BE RELEASED.
Also the whole neighbors situation seems kinda iffy to me. It actually sounds like someone could have set him up. Also, Benoit could have been crazy behind the scenes of wrestling so please know all of the facts before you make a bold a s s statement.

They did not know about it being suspected to be a murder suicide when the tribute was planned and aired. It was not announced right away. It was a tribute to Chris Benoit the wrestler not Benoit the man. The WWE did the right thing at the time. They have since pulled all of Benoits' merchandise and the online tribute. The WWE is not responsible for the actions of a very sick man.

Why would the WWE rush to hold a tribute to Chris Benoit before they knew the circumstances of his death.? Isn't it about time an investigation was held about the number of wrestlers who use illegal drugs and the number of wrestlers who have died an early death. The only thing The WWE seems to be interested in is making more money. It is a shame a sport that is so popular with our impressionable children is such a phony

I don't think WWE/Vince knew. RAW is usually taped in advance (a few hours prior to showing) so it's possible that they finished showing the program before police were sure it was murder/suicide.

I think it was respectful and to say that they "knew" is not true. Major details were not releiced until today. Do not judge the WWE for respecting a man who gave there company his all. But hate what happened. There is no excuse of what he might have done, but that is no reason to attack the company that he worked for.

Well....the business of America is business...... They lost money on the event and they had to make up for it some kind of way.
The WWE will make some lame announcement about the issue and probably name a program/foundation in his honor and keep right on going.
