This school sounds like it has an amazing variety of academic fields. Please don't tell me that the only reason i want to go there is because its in Hawaii that does not matter i go there enough. But i would like to know how difficult it is to get in, and what kind of grades and SAT scores i need to get in. I appreciate all of your answers that are meaningful and respectful. Thank you!

I'm British, so no expert, but I know that if you are LDS then you get a reduction on fees and I think you get preferential selection. www.mormon.org

Your best first step might be to contact the admissions office. They have fairly strict campus rules (no alcohol, no immodest clothing) so be sure you can live by these before you go there.

Don't expect to accomplish anything. Just a lot of people ignoring you. By the way the LDS church itself donated no money to proposition 8. You should have no fear of violent repercussions from the church either. I don't know what you are talking about when you say that you know how violent Mormons can be. You think if they were violent they would have done so to the people blocking them from entering the temple and screaming at them as they try to enter a very sacred building to them. But instead they ignored them and kept on going. You think that you will die on the hunger strike? Ha ha. one of two things will happen. You'll give up or after a couple of days paramedics will stand by and when you pass out they'll stick an IV in you and take you to the hospital. And you get stuck with a $1000 hospital fee. I also think you would have been more successful if you used the example of Ted Bundy. Mountain Meadows happened in the 1800's buy some scared members that over reacted. What they did was condemned by the church. Those people will not be scared of you and won't feel backed in a corner thinking they might lose their homes again. I once again say that violence will not fall upon you. You don't have to worry about that. Just a whole lot of people ignoring you.

Well, I was astounded at first to find there WAS a BYU-Hawaii, but in wandering through their site, it seems interesting.
I note that on this page
http://www.byuh.edu/about/facts.php#studentbody
it says that the average age is 25, but this is entirely an undergraduate school, which means no graduate students to bring the age up, which makes it an older campus. 25% are married which changes the social dynamic and 91% are LDS which really changes the dynamic.
More than half of the students are from outside the US and 67% speak two or more languages.
Because it is entirely undergraduate, the professors are going to be oriented differently than if they were having to advise and share research time with grad students, which can be good for teaching but also can mean the stimulation of pushing the boundries of research is missing. In this category, they note they are top rated in the Western US and consider their private tuition to be moderate.
