(3x+2)/2=7
3x+2=7(2)
3x+2=14
3x=12
x=12/3
x=4

3(x+5)=4x
3x+15=4x
15=4x-3x
x=15

For the second problem, you should start by distributing the 3 so that you get 3x+5=4x. Next, move the 3x to the same side as the 4x by subtracting 3x from both sides. Then, you combine 3x and 4x to get 7x=5. Divide both sides by 7 to cancel out the 7, and ta-da! x is isolated and you have your answer.

x = 4.
Multiply both sides by 2, and now you have (3x+2) = 14, then subtract the 2 from each side, leaving you with (3x) = 12. Finally, divide both sides by 3, which gives you x = 4.

(3x+2)/2=7 multiply everything by two
3x+2=14 substrac two
3x=12 divide by three
x=4

3(x+5)=4 divide by three
x+5=4/3 substract 5
x=4/3-5=(4-15)/3=(-11)=/3

Firstly
(3x+2)/2=7

Multiply by 2 to take out divider

3X+2=14
now take 2 across
3X=12
divide by 3 to get x
X=4

(3X+2)/2 = 7

multiply both sides by 2 you get

3x+2 = 14

subtract 2 from both sides you get

3x = 12

divide both sides by 3 you get

x = 4

----------------------------------------------
3(x+5) = 4x

distribute the 3 into the parentheses you get

3x+15 = 4x

subtract 3x from both sides you get

15 = 1x

divide both sides by 1 you get

15 = x or just reversing it x = 15

to check them both just put the value obtained for x back into the original equation and see if both sides of your equation = the same number

x=4

Multiply both sides by 2:
(3x+2)=14

Subtract 2 from both sides:
3x=12

Divide both sides by 3:
x=4.
