i have an acer aspire 4400. comes with a integrated nivida geforce 6100 or 6150LE. Im thinking of buying an nvidia geforce 7900gs to put in the pci express slot and was wondering if it combines the power of the integrated graphics with the graphics card?

NOPE! Once the motherboard BIOS detects that there is a graphics card installed on the PCIe slot, it will disable integrated graphics and will not share any system ram as videoram. Your full RAM then becomes available to the system.

no ! u should use either the integrared or the non-integrated graphics ! when u use integrated graphics , u r just wasting an amount of ur precious ram and also the processor's power.remember that the integrated grap. card has its own cpu [ gpu] and its own ram !hope u r clear now .so after u buy the card , disable integrated-grap. by going in to the bios .
