Im going into my senior year and i want to know what it takes to get scouts to notice you. What type of numbers do I have to put up. Im also playing legion ball and was wondering if the more leagues I play in and the more I contribute will I have a better chance. I put up decent numbers my junior year i batted .330. So my question is am I too late to get noticed or if I have a spectacular year next year will that be enough to get scouted

There is one thing you can be sure of, if you are good enough they will find you. At the level you are playing your coaches know how to contact the scouts if they think you have a chance. Talk to them and see what they tell you. The scouts will always have the ability to sniff out talent.

I would continue with the leagues you are playing in. Stats alone are not what scouts look for they also look at playing ability as well. Also playing in baseball camps will allow you to showcase your talent and allows the camp directors to put the word out about you. You have to find the right one.

If by your Freshman year comes around, try enrolling at a university and play as a walk on. Talk to the baseball coach to see what you can provide to their team. Or you can enroll at a Junior College near where you live, play well there and possibly transfer to a university.

Good luck.

Focusing on a junior college is a great way to advance up the ranks. You would very likley get lots of playing time (Much more than if you were able to walk on to aD 1 school) to gain experience and improve your numbers. A service like SportsWorx.com can help as well.
