About an hour or two before it rains, my hands always hurt and feel stiff. Its kinda cool I can predict the rain, but what's the science behind it?

This is certainly a very interesting phenomenon. I believe that the reaction you experienced before it rains is part of your sixth sense. Just as ants would be crawling over your house walls before a huge rain, humans have the same supernatural ability, which may have arisen from the process called evolution.

And regarding why your hands hurt and feel stiff, it may be that your hands are not adapted to cold weather. For me, my knees hurt really badly whenever it is about to rain the next couple of days. It's probably because of genetics and some unknown unpathogenic diseases you have. Hope this helps. XD

it could be rheumatoid arthritis or regular kind. Also it could be from an old injury as many people with these complaints have these probs. in tibet or yin yan talk your khi is wet meaning ur dampness in the body aggrivates you.so go near heat use heat or stay in dry hot wether but i would see a specialist in arthritic care and early symtoms.

Arthritis -- seriously. Air pressure changes (decreases)cause your joints to ache prior to a rain.
