Talking specifically about the TV evening news (both local and national brodcasts)

Do you think they are doing a public service to inform the general public? Do you think they have a political agenda? Do you think its all about the bottom Line? Or do you think there is some other motivating factor that determines which stories are shown and how they are presented?

Ultimate motivation first and foremost is money. Which also means rating is the number 1 priority. This ties into all of the stories like Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith that we have shoved down our throats.

I think all of the mainstream media outlets have their own personal political agenda's. So when all of the back and forth goes on about which media outlet is the most bias or unbias, everyone is right and everyone is wrong. They are all the same but representing opposite sides of the coin.

It's sad. It's disappointing. But it's the way it is...

One word,,,,MONEY! The more viewers, the more sponsors, the more money they make. Did you ever notice how fast they drop a "hot" story when another one develops? Some newscasters should get emmy awards for acting. They can change their emotions from happy to sad and back in a split second. They may say they are doing a public service or some may have an agenda but the motivator behind all of them is money.

As the election draws near I think that there will definitely be more of a political agenda, but after I saw Paris Hilton leaving prison earlier this morning I'm positive that money is the motivation.

Three things:

1) Money
2) Fame
3) Political agenda

The news media has completely lost the concept of 'public service.'

From a corporate standpoint, to make money,

From an individual, reporter, standpoint, become famous either for career advancement or personal notoriety.

Which trade is different?

We left out management because they are the leaches that find profit between the above without risk but take the credit

First of all...the media is pretty much controlled by CNN. Fox News, Sky news and so on(the big guys basically). Now all these lil people(small news channels) get their top stories from the big guys, and the rest of the small stories..they workout b/w themselves. Now the big stories are controlled by big guys..and we all know America controls the big guys. And we all know Israel controls america.(you may deny that, but its true) So yeah...Israel likes to rule the wolrd thts hteir agenda...they want f**king land, whch they aint ever gona get.

i am in no doubt that they have a hidden adgenda

it aims to brainwash the public using whatever methods that work

i knew somebody that was shot and injured , it was never even reported in our local paper yet our local news decided to feature how good our local council was doing and how many awards it had

they leave us unaware of what is happening in the real world and yet are able to cause pointless mass hysteria on subjects of their choosing

l think it is probably all of the above. We need to keep an open mind and draw our conclusions based on everything we hear not just one article or newscast.
